Nursery

What is nursery?- The purpose of the nursery class is to help children learn the restored gospel of Jesus Christ and live it. The nursery class should help the children increase their understanding of and love for Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ, have positive experiences in a Church setting, and grow in feelings of self-worth.

We LOVE our calling. We want to be there forever. This week our sunbeams left nursery and we were heartbroken. I thought Will was going to cry. We have a lot of new sweet little nursery kids coming in the next few weeks that we are very excited about.

Our favorite part- When we read or tell a story and literally 10 children try to sit in your lap at once. Fulfilling a request to make a Jaguar our of play dough. Hearing the children beg to say the opening and closing prayers for the lesson (We usually say about 4 because none of us can turn them down when they ask to pray). We just plain LOVE getting to know the sweet children of our ward and their families. Does it make us a little baby hungry? Yes. But we are not letting it get to us yet.

Moral of this post. Send the word- The Egans do not want to be released. Ever. :)

(Note: Obviously we would never argue over this point and would accept any calling or release as it came- My feelings are dramatize for the effect of this post.)

That is your calling I'm sure! I can just see all those kids trying to crawl in your laps. My parents got moved from Sunbeams to CTR6 this year. They were not happy about that at all..till they found out Sophie would be in their class. They loved their little Sunbeams. Miss you. If you come for a MS visit, please call. Would love to see you.
