We love our Wubba Nub!

Emma has learned to snatch her binky out of her mouth so at least with this little jewel she is still happy even when she can't get it back in. Thanks Aunt KK for the awesome toy.

4 Months

4 Months and counting. 

11 pounds. 25 inches. 

She's a tall and slender little miss. 

Only in the 4th percentile for weight. Makes me feel like a failure. Thats my most important job, right? I've got some work to do this month.

But, look at those BIG feet! They are 3 1/2 inches long! I'm obsessed with her feet. 

And every other part. We are just thankful for the past 4 months getting to watch Emma Perry grow and explore her world. 

Drooling Diva

I just love the headbands lent to us from Jenna. I put them on her all the time and just smile. Tonight we practiced sitting up- It was floppy, but really crazy that she is already so strong and almost there. She is growing up too fast. I know everyone always says that, but when its your own baby its just different. 

My good friend Mary Martha had her twin boys yesterday and I'm amazed how long ago it seems I was at the hospital having EP. I am so happy for the Checkett family and that all 3 are doing well. Can't wait for us to meet our new little friends!!

Headed out today for a walk before work- The city is getting ready to celebrate the Giants victory over the Patriots in the Super Bowl and its a mad house!! We have been listening to the chants and NY theme music from our 21st floor apartment all morning. Its insane. Another reason to love NYC.

First swim!

Baby's first snow was celebrated by taking a swim! She had been sick all week so we decided a warm pool sounded better than a cold snowy day. William and I both love the water so it was only right that she does too! She was totally intrigued. Just looking at the pool was mesmerizing to her. I am so excited to take her many many more times!!

New Tricks.

 

Grandma and Grandpa brought me an excersaucer because I love to stand so much-

I can make funny noises with my lips.

And I LOVE my rattles (thanks Lizzie!) and toys. I can hold on to them and shake them to entertain myself.

No fun being sick.

Having a sick baby is the pits. I cried more this week in frustration than the entire 4 months. She was so pitiful. Eventually I got sick as well- that was even more emotional because I felt so terrible and imagining that we had the same things I couldn't stand thinking she felt as bad as I did. Thankfully EP is feeling better and getting back to normal. Although she has still lost her high pitched squealing voice and that's pretty funny to listen to her try to make noises silently.  

I can't get enough of these toes. They always tend to find their way out of the swaddle or blanket.

 

 My new best friend. Nosefrida. Don't hate. Just try it. Gets so much more than the normal aspirator. And no, it is not possible for anything to get into your mouth. Just get one. Your baby will thank you. I have heard that the Windi is also awesome.
