Where's Waldo.. and Wenda??

William decided we should be Waldos for Halloween. I was so excited and went nuts putting costumes together! We went to our Ward party for lunch and enjoyed the company of our fun ward and then shopped around the city- Then we got decked out and headed to the Annual Greenwich Village Halloween Parade. We were warned it would be nuts- it rained a little :) but was so cool. As you see in the pics- We met up with the ghostly Cannons, and Casey and Todd Matheny- watched the parade- went to a packed Five Guys for grub and then to the Mathenys to relax. We played the envelope game- which made us all a lot closer. Will is thought to be a Hobo- I have feet that double for skis- Casey is out of control- Taylor will have a few husbands- Todd thinks we're all nuts- and Craig is stuck in the closet. It was quite entertaining to say the least.
Just in case you didn't know- Wenda is Waldo's women
Can you guess who the Matheny's are?
People actually stopped Taylor and Craig and asked if they were KKK members. They are in fact ghost- not to be confused. Wow.

FALLing in love with Central Park

The Egans and Nelsons are at it again.
This week its Central Park we explore.
William took us to this darling little arbor covered with ivy.
Kings of CP

I love love love fall leaves

"Let us go this direction"

Hilarious.

We are just so excited.

Rachel dragging Jeff along. Come on Jeff.

If I had rhythm we would really be good dancing buddies. Look at that finish.
Our buddies, the Nelsons.
Good taste. Love my Rache.
Rachel is not so confident in my reversing skills.
Only pic we could get of them not acting crazy.
Rachel and Jeff

Thanks honey.

Enough for us.

Enough Said. I love this place. The banana cream pie is my personal favorite. Will loves a good box of cupcakes. If you are in NYC you have to go to the one in West Village.

Christmas Trees

We walked around to check out the Christmas decorations tonight thinking about how much we LOVE this city. This is one of my favorite parks- and its really close to our house. There is also a huge fountain in the middle and then this arch.

Check out the awesome tree in the middle. I love Christmas trees- Could have something to do with my Mimi and Grandaddy owning a Tree Farm my whole life :) they sale Christmas trees for hundreds of dollars on the side of the streets here. I may look into shipping one from their farm next year- It would be cheaper. Insane.

I loved all the trees in the city. Favorites- Rockefeller (obv.), Stock exchange, Seaport, and Washington Square (pictured)- Have I mentioned I love the city?William looks so New Yorkerish in his overcoat and scarf. Love it.

When I'm alone. . .

Will went to Utah for the weekend to get our winter clothes a few weeks ago and this is what I did to pass the time. . .

I LOVE THE STREET FAIR- and this weekend it was on OUR street!! I was so happy. For blocks there were vintage clothing, antiques, jewelry, fruit, hats, cheeses, ties, bags, clothes... oh my and so much more- I will do another post later with more of my shots, but these are the highlights. This man has apparently been doing this every weekend for years- He sold me this star. I really just wanted something orange for our apt and it stuck out.
I have seen this man's art numerous times and can not think about buying it because I know with a little practice and help I could make it. But I don't- I just keep looking at it at Union Square fair each time. Its sephia colored photos of NYC with masking tape painted brown as a border- but so nice all together.

I wanted this dress really bad.

I went to East River park in an attempt to be social at a ward BBQ- but I ended up taking pictures the whole time instead. It was so cool over there.

Then the real adventure began- see this weekend was my time at home to redo our apartment- I lived on Craigslist trying to find a bed that would work for us and this is what I did on a whim. I saw a problem:

Not the smoke detector that I can not fix, but the need for space in an apt that has no closet.

So I bought these.

And a few hours later built this.

I have no idea if we will ever sleep on it- But I was proud of it.

Moving on up... to the lower west side

This begins my collection of photography of the city. In the place we love most. Our apartment. This window pictured is why we got this place- and the location helped a little too. :)
